22nd September 2016 – GWU Work study student needed!

I am seeking a George Washington University work-study student at senior or post-graduate level for the post of research assistant for a project looking at political communication and propaganda during international conflicts. The primary research focus is the propaganda war between Russia and US/NATO in Eastern Europe, also a second project looking at post-Iraq War ‘reconstruction’ period. Keen interest in/knowledge of the topic and past study of related social science disciplines (media, politics, international affairs, sociology) and/or knowledge of research methods would be a strong advantage. The primary duties will be transcription and some archival and library/online research to assist me in a literature review – full training will be given if needed but any past RA experience would be an advantage. The student should also have some enthusiasm in assisting with other research-related tasks if required. The post is for 5-10 hours per week. Apply to Dr Briant directly at: emmabriant@gwu.edu with a short 1 paragraph email stating why you would be the best applicant for this position and attaching a current CV.
