1st July 2016 – Research at George Washington University

It’s official – I am super delighted to say that in a few weeks I’ll be heading back to Washington DC where I will be based at the School of Media and Public Affairs at George Washington University for the next year doing new research looking at the political communication of the Democrats focussing on economic inequality. I will be working with the esteemed Professor Robert Entman on this as well as pursuing my own ongoing propaganda research looking at responses to Russian propaganda with a view to producing a number of new publications.  While I will, of course, miss all my colleagues and friends in Sheffield, the wonderful students and my PhD candidate Francesca DiRenzo while I’m away, it’s a real honour to have this incredible opportunity to spend a year doing research at this top university working alongside some top US academics in the field. I cannot wait for this new adventure to begin!
